This is an online music class, taught using Zoom
Join local jazz legend Miles Black for a hands-on masterclass in the art of improvisation. Participants will develop a set of theoretical tools to have at their disposal when playing, develop a deeper understanding of the role that improv plays in jazz, and gain that all important experience as they play along with Miles and for each other in a supportive, relaxed virtual environment. Each session centres around a different tune, and Miles will focus on mastering different jazz styles as well as an array of approachable jazz standards.
Open to teen and adult players of standard jazz instruments, all levels of improv experience accommodated.
