- Monday August 23 – Friday August 27, 2021
The orchestra’s families of instruments and its most time-tested masterpieces are introduced to young ears and minds in these highly interactive virtual camps. Each day, Teacher Nadia will introduce children to a new musical instrument and will hear how it is used by professional musicians, furthering their understanding of music elements such as melody and rhythm through fun activities.
Participants will engage with repertoire through movement, music making, and drama, and will learn about a variety of genres of music. By the end of the week, children will have learned their way around the orchestra, as well as some key musical concepts along the way!
