Chris Davis

Musician Chris Davis was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His musical roots are steeped in the Pentecostal church having played drums and organ alongside his brother, John. Davis continued in music mostly through church and school bands where trumpet became a primary interest. Following a two year stint at Florida State College at Jacksonville Davis became a show band musician for Norwegian Cruise Lines where he met his eventual partner. He soon after(2003) relocated to Vancouver, BC and he’s been a mainstay ever since – expanding his musical validity citywide, as well as country and worldwide. He has three records under his leadership. A Night Remembered – Cellar Live(2007), Baile Bonita – Cellar Live(2009) and This Christmas – BJR(2011).
In 2014 Davis became a touring member of the Grammy-Nominated soul package, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. He appears on trumpet and piano on Soul of A Woman – Daptone Records. Currently Davis is refocused on producing new music both for himself as well as others. He is also a frequent guest musician in Stay Human, the house band for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert – CBS. Chris has performed for numerous television productions including the Grammys, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Conan, The Espys, The Mark Twain Prize, The NFL Honors, and the White House.
